Registration of Altus House as a Higher Risk Building
Altus House has been registered, as a Higher Risk Building (HRB) to the Building Safety Regulator.
Following registration a Safety Case report has been prepared and an application prepared for a Building Assessment Certificate (BAC). This has not yet been issued.

Building Assessment Certificate
A Building Assessment Certificate is issued if the Building Safety Regulator when it is satisfied that, at the time it carries out its assessment, the accountable persons for the building, are complying with their duties under part 4 of the Building Safety Act 2022 (the Act).

The application for a Building Assessment Certificate is underpinned by a Safety Case Report prepared by the Managing Agents for submission to the Building Safety Regulator..

What is a Safety Case Report?
The safety case is a collection of record and supporting information to demonstrates how the risk of spread of fire and structural failure is managed. This includes details of the building's safety management systems, resident profiles and risk assessments.
